Granny Donuts

To continue the tour of top donuts in the Twin Cities, I went to Granny Donuts in West St. Paul.  They are known for their apple fritters so that's what I went in for.  I also ended up getting a creme filled donut and the owner threw in another donut for free for some reason.  I brought them home and had a bite of each.  The apple fritter was good, but we both agreed the other two donuts were better, fantastic.  Slightly more eggy than cakey.  Good stuff.  They don't have any crazy, different donuts or pastries, just a nice selection of the normal stuff.  If you go, be prepared - they are a cash only business.
