Carver Lake

This is for sure one of my happy spots.  I can not tell you how thrilled I was to learn that there was a beach near my house complete with umbrellas, restrooms, charcoal grills, and a volleyball net. What I am most thankful for is that the beach faces west so I can still head over after work and catch some rays.  Carver Lake is quite small - too small for motorized water craft, but the beach provides a wonderful place to lay out, read, nap, picnic.  I go as much as I can in the summer.  There's just something about being on the sand near water on a hot day that boosts my mood.
