Ted Cook's 19th Hole BBQ and Harriet Brewery

I did some serious research on the best BBQ places in the twin cities before settling on Ted Cook's.  Good BBQ is serious business in our household.  Ted Cook's is just a hole-in-the-wall shack in South Minneapolis right off Hiawatha on 38th Street.  There isn't a place to sit, you just order and take your food elsewhere.  My husband and I  had our minds set on ribs so we ordered the full rack pork rib platter (includes homemade chips, coleslaw, and two Wonder bread slices).  I had high hopes, especially since it really isn't convenient to grab food and find a location to eat.  Thankfully, Harriet Brewing is just a few minutes away.  We packed up the food and rode to Harriet and set up shop.  Harriet Brewing's hefeweizen and pilsner were a perfect compliment to the amazing ribs.  Best. Picnic. Ever.   The ribs had been smoked for several hours leaving them quite tender, juicy, and wonderfully flavored with the BBQ sauce.  Definitely worth the hassle of getting there and relocating to eat.
